After the application of local anaesthetic, fat dissolver is injected under the skin directly into the fat layer with a needle or cannula. The solution ‘dissolves’ the fat cells which then degrade and are absorbed by the body over a few weeks. These cells are then excreted via the lymphatic drainage system and urine.
